Caramel Choco Banana Tart Recipe

Ingredients

1. Chocolate tart crust
  • 240 g all-purpose flour (medium-protein flour)

  • 150 g powdered sugar

  • 150 g butter margarine

  • 20 g cocoa powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 egg

2. Caramel sauce
  • 150 g granulated sugar

  • 90 ml whipping cream

  • A little water, approximately 2–3 tbsp

  • 50 g butter margarine

  • ½ tsp salt

3. Chocolate ganache
  • 250 g dark cooking chocolate

  • 250 g whipping cream

  • 30 g butter margarine

4. Toppings
  • Fresh bananas, sliced

  • Strawberries

  • Blueberries

  • Blackberries

  • Raspberries

  • Almond slices

  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

How to Make It

1. Prepare the tart crust

Mix the margarine and powdered sugar until soft and fluffy. Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then mix well. Add the egg and combine until a dough forms.

Press the dough into a tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork.

Bake at 150°C for approximately 25 minutes, or until the crust is cooked through. Let it cool completely.

2. Make the caramel

Heat the sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar melts and turns golden amber.

Carefully add the whipping cream, stirring gently. Add the margarine and salt, then stir until smooth. Let the caramel cool before using.

Be careful when adding the cream, as hot caramel can bubble vigorously.

3. Prepare the chocolate ganache

Melt the dark chocolate with the whipping cream and margarine. Stir until smooth and glossy.

Allow it to cool slightly so it thickens enough to spread.

4. Assemble the tart

Spread the caramel over the cooled tart crust. Add the chocolate ganache on top and smooth the surface.

Refrigerate until the chocolate layer has set.

5. Add the toppings

Arrange sliced bananas, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and almond slices over the tart. Add a few mint leaves for a fresh finish.

Keep it in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

And that's it! Your homemade Caramel Choco Banana Tart is ready to enjoy.

Banoffee pie combines bananas, caramel, and cream in a biscuit crust. It has a similar sweet caramel-and-banana flavor, but without the rich chocolate ganache. It's a lovely choice if you prefer a softer, creamier dessert.

Chocolate Ganache Pie

If you're a chocolate lover, this one is for you. A chocolate ganache tart usually focuses on a crisp crust and a smooth chocolate filling. It has fewer competing flavors, allowing the chocolate to take center stage.

What I love about this tart is how the different flavors come together. The chocolate is rich, the caramel is buttery, and the fruit adds a refreshing contrast.

You can also change the toppings depending on the fruit you have at home. Baking doesn't always have to be complicated; sometimes, the simplest combinations are the most satisfying.

Serve a slice with your favorite coffee or tea, and enjoy a little homemade sweetness. ♡

Happy baking!
